temple trips, friends... and an indian??

so pretty much these past few weeks have been crazy and i am gonna lose my mind! erin henderson surprised a couple weeks ago and came to my house : ) we were just talking on the phone... and sneaky little girl lied to me and told me she was at work! then there is a knock on the door and next thing i know erin is standing behind me watching me cook dinner (creeper) lol! such an amazing surprise : ) it seriously made my day!

then kimmie and i went to the temple! i love to see the temple!! we went and did baptisms at like 6 in the morning and it was such a good idea <3 we got to spend some much needed time together and just talk! so it's true... kimmie left for school about a week ago and i am going loopy without her here! : / but i am SO happy for her and know that EA (engaged already ; ) is exactly where she needs to be! <3

then there is morgan bagley... YAY she's HOME!! i didn't even realize how much i missed that crazy girl! we went to the mall a couple days ago and finally found bridesmaid dresses! and... i get to make flower belts for them! we are gonna look so hot : ) lol

ok so you are probably wondering what in the heck the indian thing is all about? well... let me just tell you! Malia's older sisters Timbrlee (11) and Breckell (8) and all of their little friends decided to do a little play/movie! it is pretty adorable, and i will admit that i helped them write it so i'm not a complete victim when i say...they made ME be the bad guy... an indian! hahaha sooo funny and so unfair! so on Saturday morning i woke up at 6:30 (did i mention it was saturday. and you are supposed to sleep in on saturdays) and got all dressed up in my indian gear... braided pigtails and all... and filmed The Adventures of Candy State 2 with the girlies! it was fun, and when stacee (malia's mom) is done editing it and everything, i will humiliate myself and post it so you can all laugh at me and my horrendous acting : ) ok i only had  lines and couldn't remember them for the life of me! this is my life... oh goodness lol

OH! how could i forget! i definitely did my auditions!ask me if i did soo well (not to brag or anything) but i totally did! i was SO nervous going into it, i was making myself sick! but it ended up being excellent, with a lot of praying! and so i got into all of the music classes i wanted and more : ) yay

well that is my repetitive and slightly boring life! but i love it... oh and today is day 230! : ) time is moving quickly for once! <3

the kind of news thats kinda huge!!

so yes , i do realize that it has been an extremely long time since i last posted something! i really need to be more diligent (if i'm this bad during the summer, i'm gonna be horrible during school!)

BIG NEWS!

 i finished my application to BYU today... : / i am sooo nervous, but completely excited at the same time! keep your fingers crossed for me! : ) so there's that. also regarding school (gag me) i have to sing two songs to audition for cgcc's choir and theory classes...really? i feel pathetic, and i am actually nervous!

anyways, this month has been full of work work work!! i am soo tired all of the time, OH especially since i started a diet! my entire family decided it was time to actually be skinny people instead of the usual pleasantly plump lol ; ) so we have been going fr 2 weeks now, and i am not proud to say that i have cheated alot! and haven't lost hahaha... but it was my birthday on the 15th, so i have kind of an excuse... right?? speaking of my birthday....

You wonder what i did? weeellllll, only the coolest thing anyone could ever do on their birthday... me and kimmie and nikki and rachelle all went to see Harry Potter 7 part 2 at midnight, and once again the entire theater sang to me at midnight!! cool beans right?!? sooo much fun! i may have even merged in with the front of the line and gotten seats behind the rail with people who had waited in line since 8 o'clock that morning... but just maybe ; ) do i feel guilty?? not one bit... it's my birthday and i'll cut if i want to right?? lol so needless to say, we got AH-mazing seats because of me and the movie was soooo incredibly, well, incredible! i love HP.

what else happened this month that is big news... oh yeah... yet another one of my very good friends got ENGAGED!?!?!?! yes its true chelsea duke is next. first lyndsey then sam now morgan and chelsea...! insanity! if kimmie goes and gets married on me i think i'll die. no one else can get married or engaged until i only have like a couple weeks left of waiting... its killing me lol But i am soooo happy for all of them.

oh wait there is one more thing.... my sister is PREGNANT!!!! yes you read it right, try looking at it any way you want to, she really is preggers! 2 months and 1 day actually... and yes i was the first to know : ) so i am thrilled for her and jordan, and i'm gonna be auntie lauren! maybe we can think of a cuter name for me lol

next item of business, i got to watch a video of Daniel!!!! one of the ward members is an absolute God-send and was nifty enough to record him just before his first transfer, send it to daniel's mom, who sent it out to me! seriously best birthday present i could have ever gotten... EVER!!!! he is still soooo attractive, and just so sweet and still sounds exactly like himself, and looks like such a little... ok, HUGE missionary! i love Love LOVE him <3 oh i seriously watched that 36 second video like 100 million times, and bawled when i heard his voice : ) yes i may be pathetic, but i'm in love! today is 210 days! i cant believe we've passed the 200 mark. that is so crazy (both slow and fast at the same time, it's weird). ah i love him alot!

p.s. my sister has like 9 girls over for a sleepover/ last-ditch effort to party before school starts in a day! they are sooo loud and giggly... was i really like this in high school?? naaaw couldn't have been : ) i'm never gonna get to sleep lol

just because you're on a diet, doesn't mean you can't look at the menu!

i'm back from California!! and i had so much fun... it was amazing to be able to spend time with my whole family, well minus nichole and jordan who weren't there. but that's ok cause they just closed on their first official house!! how exciting right?

so i will take you through our week at laguna/dana point : ) ummm.... a 6 1/2 hour drive up (which meant a TON of reading), food, beach (all the time!), food, parcheesi, reading, pool (an hour after we ate of course lol), more food, movies, reading on the beach, hot guys (a wise friend once told me that just because you're on a diet, doesn't mean you can't look at the menu... like i said, very wise!... is it bad to say yumm about the surfers?), tanning, more food, reading and then another 6 1/2 hour drive back to arizona and the HEAT : P it was absolutely beautiful in california... the weather was so perfect 75 and sunny most of the day, 106 in AZ is not my friend. so from my wonderful descriptive vacation summary you can guess that we basically revolved everything we did around our eating arrangements (it's a fat people thing LOL)... we eat a LOT! i started and finished 3 books during this trip. never really knew i liked reading that much... i mean i've always liked to read, but three 300ish page books in 1 week... that's pretty much crazy right?? anyways so this trip has given me the world's worst tan! from my previous sunburn to a tan/burn on top of what was already trying to heal i have peeled so badly on my shoulders that i look like a white dalmatian with even whiter patchy spots. : D all i can do is laugh it off... and so, i say... HAHAHAHAHA!!

so i talked to a bestie named erin noray (yes i'm including your middle name because it's beautiful, not hideous) henderson, and basically everyone should follow her blog. she is apparently a very talented and funny writer... who knew she had these talents ; ) just joking...love you erin! and she is the brightest ray of sunshine mot will ever meet <3 anyways, we definitely talked for 2 hours 1minute and 15 seconds (according to her calculations) last night/this morning, and that didn't even come close to breaking the record. somewhere in the 4 hour range!

jumping from topic to topic is a lot easier than trying to make it flow, soooo next: work is still just absolutely wonderful. i love Malia and love taking her places and playing baby dolls with her (all 12 of which are named Emma... so cute). when she laughs it is just the cutest thing in the world! ah i love that little angel!! <3 <3 <3 <3

now ashley is at EFY for the week and i am already going crazy here without her! however me and my mom just had an awesome talk! i love her a lot a lot and love talking to her, she is amazing. random thought : ) well it's bedtime!

oh! 175 days...

so glad i waited this long to post something!

yes, i do realize that the title of this post is extremely long : ) but... i have good reason. soooo i hadn't gotten a very good letter from daniel in oh i don't know 3 weeks and THEN i get one that's a page long. so i was super bummed for all that while, and if i would've posted something it would have been long and boring and maybe even slightly on the negative side. and so i am glad to say that my tendency  to procrastinate has finally paid off!! yay for me : )

hmmm... since my last post a lot more has happened! i have been crazy busy and actually loving life <3 my best friend in the entire world, kimmie, finally moved back to queen creek! she moved to mesa our senior year of high school. we barely got to see each other and i missed her terribly, but now she's back and we are (once again) partners in crime! heck yess : ) in fact, saturday we went to the lake with a bunch of people and had a ton of fun, maybe even too much fun?? i got sunburned, and thought i got it bad... until i saw kimmie's back/shoulders! holy red like a tomato! so no more complaining for me (plus mine already turned into a tan so hah)!

next, my application to BYU is almost complete! i only have to complete the ecclesiastical endorsements (big word!) basically meet with my bishop and then a member of the stake presidency to meet with me and make sure i will live by the honor code : ) silly cause there is nothing that i'll have to change, im livin worthy lol so i have a meeting tomorrow with my bishop after work... which brings me to (drummmm rollllll please)......

I GOT A JOB!!!!!! okay so yes i was already doing respite care with my brother shane, and now i am doing respite work with a little girl. her name is Malia and she is an absolute angel on this earth! seriously i don't think i could love work any more than i do, it is completely and absolutely perfect for me! so she is 6 years old and has autism and ADHD. i have been working with her now for a couple of weeks and let me tell you she took to me within the first like 10 minutes! i am already like part of the family. there are 3 girls and 1 boy : ) i love Love LOVE my job, and that is something i would never say, but i honestly do!

so what else has been going on? mmmm not much, its summer and other than work i am just relaxing! its amazing : D OH i almost forgot... my family and i are going to california next week!! so more to come soon! : ) lots of love! oh and 161 days today <3

i'm back! and ready for change :)

well hello again! i'm sorry i haven't written in a while- life has been absolutely CRAZY!!!! so to make a very long story short, i'm considering making some pretty drastic changes in life : ) i'm excited and ready to move on with life... sooooo i'm applying to BYU right now! my parents don't know yet, in fact almost nobody really knows... i don't wanna make a big deal, and i especially don't want the mom and dad to say "we told you so!" so everyone (if anyone even reads this lol) keep it on the down LOW! please and thank you.

finals are coming up this week and i'm feeling pretty confident! which is saying something! every class i'm taking i have an A or B. the only final i am somewhat nervous about is MHL145- Jazz history... MAN that class has been a doozy (is that how you spell it??) its one of those classes where you think you understand everything really well, and then the tests come and it looks like you're reading Chinese... if you can't read Chinese of course : ) so i'm studying and hoping for the best! my special ed. class is gonna be a breeze! i have like a 94% in that class, and i know the material really well : ) so funny to say... i'm excited for that final! public speaking will be easy, as well as english 102! so after May 12, 2011 i have summer break and no school to worry about for a while.

so what will i be doing this summer. PARTYING, that goes without saying! : ) hahaha WORKING really hard to save up money for school, a car, and rent up in provo! then LOSING WEIGHT! this last week has been terrible! i didn't go to the gym at all! : / i think i have an excuse, its coming up to finals week and the professors have been piling on the work! i feel wayy overloaded, but i can make it through! so gym everyday except sundays of course, and 20 pounds lighter before the BYU Winter 2012 semester begins : )

Well that's all i have to report today! if i go into more detail, i think we'll all get bored out of our minds! : )

OH! one last thing, daniel is doing amazing! i didn't get to talk to him yesterday for Mother's Day, but that's ok; his family said he is doing really well , and they got to skype him! JEALOUS!!!! well, i'm off to finish applying : ) wish me luck..

carnival, cotton candy, cuties & kimmie : )

how do i even begin today's wonderful amazingness?? well i'll start with i woke up and went to service learning! today was my last day there, and i'm gonna miss those kiddies sooo much! what sweet little angels they are!! Shane and i got paradise bakery for lunch... Mmmm-mmmm-mmmm! (chicken-walnut sandwich? yes!) ... and a chocolate chip cookie. i really shouldn't have eaten that, and half of shaner's too : / well i was hungry lol... so it's really okay (whatever helps me sleep at night, right).

anyways, those kiddos in my service learning classroom LOVE me soooo much. i got about a million hugs today, and one little girl Parys (like as in france) she wanted me to sit right by her ALL day, and she had me hold her hand everywhere we went : ) so precious <3

so i got home and just chilled for a bit. watched michael's last episode in the office. yes i did almost cry when jim was saying goodbye. it was sad, but definitely not a disappointing ending. i really tried to get ash to let me do a trial on her prom hair, she said no! rude?? nope, just grumpy

so dinner, and then kimmie came over!!! my best frann!! i love her, we have some good times together and let me tell you when we laugh it is most likely the loudest thing you'll ever hear... and we harmonize... but never on purpose, it just kinda happens lol. so she came over and we got all dolled up for the YSA (young single adult) CaRnIvAl!! *we're goin to tha carnival, goin to tha carnival going to the carni-UGH* (in case you didn't know, that is patrick on spongebob squarepants, when he's singing, and trips hahahaha) it wasn't reallllly a carnival, cause there was no ferris wheel, or merry-go-round. but it was still fun! we just talked to a TON of random people, and i was introduced to probably 54 people who's names i will never remember. but that's okay cause i'll most likely never see any of them again : ) plus i'm not looking for any single people at the moment. i'm taken! and i'm glad!

well on the way home, we weren't quite done partying... at all of the red lights, kimmie and i jumped out of the car and danced to our jams lol. we had a lot of fun bumpin' it in front of some old people who didn't know what in the heck wa going on : ) oh good times. Then me, kimmie, and emily ellsworth, who i do adore (no pun intended... okay maybe jut a little one) : ) all went to wal-mart to get ice-cream. well. while we are walking in, i stop in the middle of the street cause something was in my pants BITING ME!!! i had to get it out so eventually i made my way to behind one of the pillars... yeah someone was definitely behind it already and totally saw me. embarrassing much? yes, i should say so!but we successfully attained our delicious sweets and ice cream! yummm!

 

then we went all the way to emily's house where we looked at her senior scrapbook! oh i remember those days well. a stressful, time-consuming, and totally amazing and worthwhile project! i love to see the things i wrote and how i've changed in a year. wow i've been graduated for almost an entire YEAR!! that is absolutely weird and time has just flown by. i miss it sometimes. then again i don't : )

so i am up WAYY too late, once again. and it is now 123 days countdown... 607 days to go if he is out for exactly two years. time is flyin... and for once i'm grateful for that!

well! what a blissful day i had today... alright, it was okay : ) lol i woke up early for school and finished my homework at the library, and ended up missing half of my english 102 class (not a big deal, i have an A)! then jazz history, exceptional learners (SpEd class), and communications (public speaking), just the usual school day : ) except a couple of things... i got a papercut from CARDSTOCK! do you know how bad that hurts?? REALLY badly!! so i'm learning what it's like to live with a disability lol : ) i'm just kidding, but seriously i never noticed how much i use my ring finger... but on my right hand... you know the only one by the pinky. well i use it a LOT and have to work around it now lol *my finger has a heartbeat*

so...you know that it is so nice to get compliments! if you don't know how nice it is, then let me know and i'll compliment you so you do! it is a wonderful thing. thank you lovely peers for approving of my presentation in class last week, great feedback!

then i got home and i played piano for a really long time and i sang : ) that felt good, i haven't done it in such a long time! well it was only a couple of hours later i started to wonder where my family could be. dad and shane were here, but no ash and no mom. they went prom dress shopping without me : ( sad day. but... the dress she got i beautiful!!!! it's black and kind of a cross between an a-line and a mermaid style. it has rouging around the entire waist, pick-ups at the bottom, and a flower with a gorgeous crystal rhinestone thingy at the hip. she looks stunning. and guess who gets to do her hair... ME!! <3 this is the dress, only it's black and she'll have a cover over it : )

so why is the post titled spin?? i'm gonna tell you! i went to my very first spinning class at the gym today with one of my friends, courtney! it was amazing! seriously i would definitely recommend it, it's an awesome workout. so after that i got home and watched American Idol. WHY oh WHY would america vote off casey abrhams? it's unforgivable what has happened. i am in love with his voice BUT haley is still in there :  maybe someone with talent will win this year! so after that disaster, i HAD to go get me some Yogurt Jungle : ) yeah it did make me feel a little better hahahaha!

now it is time for bed! i will have a lot to tell you all tomorrow cause i have a big day ahead of me : )

p.s. it's been 122 days since daniel left, and today is the 4 month mark!! 20 more to go... i'm 1/6 of the way done! HOORAY.

my blog!!

oh goodness! i am soooooo excited to start my blog : ) it is going to be just aweome! but i have one problem... the "s" button on my keyboard sticks, so recently i've had a lot of typos, which is ironic because i HATE grammar errors. so bear with me if there are a few, as soon as i get the "s" fixed, i can promise (almost) perfect grammar : )

well today has been quite a successful day (cough cough) woke up to breakfast made by my daddy... how sweet of him! alright i worked with my brother Shane for like 3 hours, doing respite care with him... that's productive right?? OH! i also helped ash, my lil sis answer a boy to PROM!! how exciting! so here's what we did :

shredded up probably about a million pages of newspaper and spread it ALL over his room! there was a poster that read "Breaking News! local boy tyler asks ashley to prom! her reponse?? search through the nearest newspaper to find out!" CUTE right?? yeah i thought so too! darn we should've taken pictures. oh well. haha i didn't even get to the best part yet! we got sequin confetti and threw that all over the floor... and on his fan! he'll think the mess is all cleaned up, and then when he turns it on it'll be a whole new disaster (shhhh he can't know) : )

hmmm... next! i went to the gym with ash... okay it was only for like 50 minutes or so, but i have an excuse! (and it' a good one too) i had one of my very best friends kimmie over last night. we ended up having a sleepover and staying up 'til like 2 in the morning. needless to say, i'm pooped! but it was well worth it! then after the gym, well that one is kind of obvious! i made THIS!! it was surprisingly difficult and has taken up most of my night... and i'm supposed to be doing homework (hahaha)! oh well, looks like it's gonna be another late night : )


but wait, that's the good thing about college; i only have school on tuedays and thurdays. so if i am running on like 3 hours of sleep, it's totally not a big deal! thus explaining my procrastination... every single week lol


so i've been doing really well with daniel being gone, today was definitely one of my better days : ) i miss him, but i wouldn't have him anywhere other than on a mission in Louisville, KY... well technically he's in Elizabethtown right now : ) he is serving the Lord and doing an amazing job of working through the Spirit from what he tells me in his letters!


well i think that's good for tonight! i've got a long day ahead of me.... maybe i'll pull an all nighter! Mmmm on second thought i might not lol
